These terms and conditions govern the purchase of hour packs and programmes, in person or online, from the International Institute of Spanish.
Price and enrolment fee
The Institute only invoices the training you book. There are no registration, file-opening or materials fees. Current prices are published on the prices page. For companies and institutions, the final price is the one set out in the written proposal sent to them.
Validity of packs
To maintain continuity in learning, each pack has a fixed period of validity from the first lesson:
- 5-hour pack: 3 weeks.
- 10-hour pack: 4 weeks.
- 20-hour pack: 8 weeks.
- 50-hour pack: 20 weeks.
- Welcome Spain (15 hours): 4 weeks.
Once that period has elapsed, any unused hours expire, with no refund or compensation.
Changes to and cancellation of lessons
- One-to-one lessons may be moved or postponed free of charge by giving at least 24 hours’ notice.
- For company groups, the minimum notice is 48 hours.
- With less notice than this, the lesson is deemed to have been given and is deducted from the pack.
Programme cancellation and refunds
Once lessons have begun, the pack cannot be cancelled and the remaining hours cannot be refunded, except in cases of force majeure duly justified and evidenced in writing.
Lesson venue
- One-to-one lessons for private clients are given at the Gran Vía 40 premises or online.
- Lessons at the client’s office (in-company or at an embassy) are given in Madrid and only if a private, quiet and suitable room is available.
Payment methods
Bank transfer or card payment via a secure payment link. Bank details are provided when enrolment is formalised.
